Fees cover tuition, stationery, snacks, lunches, most co-curricular clubs and activities and tuition on recorder. Additional costs include music and speech and drama tuition, trips, examination re-sits, and certain co-curricular sports, such as skiing and golf.

Nursery Fees

The Nursery opening hours are 7.30am – 6.30pm, Monday to Friday. It is open 50 weeks per year, excluding Bank Holidays.

Free early education for 3 and 4 year olds
Parents are able to claim free early education at Abbot’s Hill Nursery the term after their child turns 3 years old. We offer two options:

  • If your child attends Stepping Up all year round, your child will be entitled to what is known as a ‘stretched offer’ whereby they receive 11.4 hours of funding per week (up to a maximum of 2.28hrs per day they attend) stretched across 50 weeks per year until they leave the nursery.
    For example, paying monthly (2021/2022) – 3 short days per week on stretched offer funding is £590.00, without funding is £875.00.
  • If your child attends Stepping Up on a Term Time only basis, your child will be entitled to 15 hours of funding per week (up to a maximum of 3 hours per day they attend) across 33 weeks of the year until they leave the nursery. For example, paying termly (2021/2022) – Term Time only 3 short days per week with funding – £1372.80, without funding is £2402.40.

Years 9-11: £6,691 per term

Information about Fees

Basic fees are largely inclusive of all stationery, lunches, games, dancing lessons (except Ballet) and tuition on recorder. Optional tuition can be arranged through the school in a variety of musical instruments. Speech and Drama and additional coaching in certain sports, such as skiing, is available. All these activities will be charged in addition to the basic fees.

Please note that the Examinations Boards charge entrance fees for the GCSEs. From September 2019, these costs are included within the fees, however, resits, including ECDL modules, will be charged separately. Charges also apply for LAMDA and ABRSM examinations.

School Fees are payable on or before the first day of term for which they are due. The Offer Letter and Acceptance Form give rise to a legally binding agreement which takes effect when the Acceptance Form and deposit are received by the school. Parents should note that on accepting a place they become liable for the first term’s fees if they subsequently do not take it up.

Sibling Discount

Applicants with a sibling already at the school receive a sibling discount of 5% until their older sister leaves.
